The American epic space opera franchise, Star Wars, has proved how much Star Wars is part of the DNA of moviegoers in North America. After made an incredible achievement last December 2015 by hit a new domestic record in less than three weeks. It got $1.983 billion globally and needs only $17 million more to make it past $2 billion. This is insanely awesome! But anyway, this tremendous history will be still agape you for the next Star Wars: Episode VIII with the returning of Captain Phasma.
Yeah! Gwendoline Christie admitted that she had been overexcited for his role in the previous episode of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. On the red carpet for Saturday night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, she said that she was delighted when J.J. Abram wanted her on this film which was initially written and designed as a male character. This is so challenging for her, moreover the fans reaction to Captain Phasma has made her thrilled. Even she couldn’t believe at the day that The Force Awakens set to shoot, the legend movie which she started to watch since 6 years old back then, and she was there.
Gwendoline Christie’s metal-plated stromtrooper got a limited role in The Force Awakens, spoiler alert, while it seemed she was destined for death by trash compactor after being captured by Finn and company on the Star Killer base. Christie said, that’s not that case. She’ll be returning on the next episode which is being directed by Rian Johnson, and also back with a costume that make her role more appealing and incredibly striking in a very modern touch. Well, this is so inspiring. She hopes it would breed more of those kind of opportunities for other women.
Star Wars: Episode VIII is scheduled to hit theaters on December 15th, 2017. Let’s see and wait what is next before it really comes!
